Info : Deftones

According to Deftones frontman Chino Moreno — who took to the Sacramento band's studio blog Tuesday — bassist Chi Cheng is in serious but stable condition following a car crash in California. Cheng is believed to be in a coma.

"It deeply saddens me to inform you all that our brother Chi Cheng was involved in a terrible car accident last night," Moreno wrote on the band's site. "He is currently in a Northern California hospital in serious, but stable condition. I am on my way up north right now to be by his side, along with the rest of our bandmates and family. Chi is one of the strongest people I know, and I'm praying that his strength will get him through this. Please say a prayer for him as well."

Little is known about the injuries Cheng — who is a spoken-word poet outside of the band — sustained in the accident, just as little is known about the circumstances surrounding the crash. According to The Associated Press, Cheng, 38, was injured in the crash Monday in Santa Clara, California.

The Deftones have been recording their sixth studio LP, Eros, for nearly a year. The record follows 2006's Saturday Night Wrist. A source close to the band told MTV News' Metal File back in June that the album "sounds nothing like what they've done in the past." Cheng has also said in interviews that the album would be "heavy as f--- with a sh--load of groove. ... I always say this sh--, but I truly believe this album to be well worth the wait and appreciate all your support and kind loyalty."

New Album : Britney Spears

You’ve heard “Womanizer” nonstop by now, but what else does Miss Britney Spears have to offer to Circus-goers? Today, the singer released the cover art for her upcoming sixth studio album, due out on her birthday, December 2.

Spears also announced that the next single will be the title track, “Circus,” produced by Dr. Luke and Benny Blanco. It’s the second cut on the album, after “Womanizer.” The rest of the songs under Britney’s big top include “Out From Under,” “Kill the Lights,” “Shattered Glass,” “If U Seek Amy,” “Unusual You,” “Blur,” “Mmm Papi,” “Mannequin,” “Lace and Leather,” “My Baby” and as a bonus track, “Radar.”

That last track might be a little confusing to Brit fans, considering that she already has a song called “Radar,” produced by Bloodshy and Avant (the team behind “Toxic”) and the Clutch. Is this a separate song, or is Britney going on repeat mode? Her label, Jive Records, tells us it’s the same song, but it might be a different mix.

Info : Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift just voted in her first election, and the 18-year-old said that casting her ballot on Thursday in Sumner County, Tennessee, made her feel "so completely American." The 18-year-old country singer told People.com she was keeping quiet about who she voted for, but she assured everyone that she did her research before making her choice.

"I watched the debates, and I read all kinds of articles on each person and each vice president and what they believe in and where their priorities are," she told People. "I went with my gut instinct. I wavered back and forth the entire time I was waiting in line, and when I got into the voting booth, I said, 'That's the one I'm voting for,' and I pressed the button. And I feel good about it!"

The busy teen waited in line for an hour and a half in order to vote early. "I wasn't going to be able to vote on November 4, because I'm going to be in L.A. filming 'Ellen,' " she said. "But there wasn't a chance I was going to let this slip away."

She also told the site that being involved in this election has been a very empowering thing for her. "The line wrapped around the building," she said, "but I can honestly tell you that it was worth the wait. I felt like I really accomplished something special. It's like exercising — you think about it, and you're like, 'Wow, there's going to be a long line, there's going to be a lot of effort involved,' but afterwards you feel so good."

Swift said she and her friends really found an interest in politics this year. "Everyone I know is obsessed with their opportunity to vote," she said. "I see people getting involved, and there is something really, really beautiful about that."
